The business of the NYC Coalition on the Continuum of Care shall be managed by the Steering Committee consisting of 27 members, together with the co-chairs of this Committee.

The twenty-seven members of the NYC CCoC Steering Committee are as follows:

   1. Eight Government Representatives
   2. Eight Consumer Committee Representatives
   3. Eight Coalition Representatives
   4. Three At-Large Representatives

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STEERING COMMITTEE:

1.       Respond to the HUD SuperNOFA:

a.     Analyze gaps and needs in the homeless and housing systems.

          b.     Establish priorities and criteria for funding.

c.     Establish annual priority setting process.
d.     Evaluate renewing programs in cooperation with the New York City Department
        of Homeless Services

e.     Endorse evaluation criteria and process of renewal evaluation as detailed by
        DHS.

f.      Endorse the ranking/priorities list of the Continuum of Care Homeless             
        Assistance Grant Application.


2.       Create ad-hoc or standing committees as needed.

3.       Review and plan appropriate actions with regard to the following:

a.    Advocacy and policy issues of the Continuum of Care.     
b.    DHS and HUD related topics


4.     Serve on DHS and other strategic planning committees that relate to the purposes of
        the NYC CCoC.


a.     Appoint and maintain three members of the HMIS Governance Committee of the
        NYC CCoC Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) as per the MOU
        between the NYC CCoC and DHS.
